Home Maintenance Check-Up

Our Home Maintenance Check-Up is designed to save you time and money. Our Home Experts ensure your home is operating safely and efficiently. Most homeowners can complete these items themselves, but the fact is that most people simply don’t have the time. Moreover, completing these little items today can help prevent large home repair bills down the road.

Standard Services

We offer both an annual and bi-annual plan where our Home Experts will come out and perform the following standard services:

	Check sprinkler systems & other exterior lines		Test smoke detectors & replace batteries (if necessary)
	Connect / disconnect all hoses to outside spigots and drain exterior water lines		Trip circuit breakers & GFI outlets
	Clean gutters & check for leaking, misaligned or damaged gutters & downspouts		Check exposed wiring for wear or damage
	Inspect decks and other exterior wood surfaces for signs of rotting		Change filters to furnace
	Look for deteriorated finishes to preserve wood		Check for cracks, leaks & dampness in basement walls & floors
	Inspect driveway for signs of cracks or other water related damage		Check vents & ensure proper operation
	Check for missing, loose or damaged siding		Check faucets, valves, sinks and traps for signs of leakage
	Check caulking on exterior dryvit surfaces		Inspect bathroom tile joints, tub grouting & caulking to be sure all seals are satisfactory
	Inspect for signs of brick & mortar damage on chimney and/or exterior walls		Draw off sediment in water heater
	Check for damaged, loose or missing shingles on roof.		Check vent openings for nests & other blockage
	Inspect windows, fascia & soffit for damage, flaking or cracking		Make sure vents & attic fans work properly
	Check weather stripping		Clean & install screen windows & doors (spring) or storm windows & doors (fall)
	Clean & lubricate window channels		Inspect for signs of roof or flashing leaks

Supplementary Services

If our Home Expert does find damage or need for repair in performing the above standard services, the following supplementary services may be performed at an additional cost, upon your authorization:

	Install gutter guards / gutter strainers		Repair roof or flashing if signs of leakage
	Replace damaged gutters or downspouts		Take out (spring) or put in (fall) outdoor furniture
	Clean & seal deck or other exterior wood surfaces		Replace broken smoke detectors
	Replace rotted boards		Replace faulty outlets
	Reseal driveway		Repair cracks in basement or seal basement walls
	Replace or repair missing or loose siding		Replace or repair damaged vents & attic fans
	Repair or replace damaged soffit panels		Repair or replace leaky faucets, valves or traps
	Repair brick & mortar damage		Caulk bathroom seals or replace grouting in tiles
	Repair cracked windows		Replace or repair damaged screen / storm windows & doors
	Caulk joints & minor cracks		Insulate water heater tank
	Touch-up paint flaking areas, or paint area entirely if needed		Putty, caulk or add weather stripping to windows
	Repair or replace roof shingles		Discard accumulated junk
